2022

Seeds of an Idea

A group of forestry professionals began documenting Kenya’s tree species. The need for a comprehensive, accessible digital forestry platform became clear.

2023

Launching the Database

The Tree Database launched with 200 indigenous species. Within months, it became a trusted resource for students, researchers, and farmers across Kenya.

2024

Expanding the Knowledge Centre

The team grew to include content specialists and educators, expanding the platform into articles, guides, and educational resources. The community grew to 10,000+ monthly users.

2025

Building for Impact

Technology specialists joined to lead platform development. Today, Forestry.co.ke reaches thousands of users across Kenya, supporting forest conservation and education.
